After just three years, this young musical centre has already carved itself a niche in the working class area of La Goutte d’Or. Its main mission: to help get started young amateur musicians or those on their way to becoming professionals within the field of contemporary music. The Centre Fleury Goutte d’Or-Barbara offers them its rehearsal and recording studios as well as a concert hall open to the public. This is where they have their first contact with the stage, at least twice a month, during the FGO Lab’ and the cabaret-style open stage held every first Tuesday of the month. Every year the Centre also holds the Paris Jeunes Talents event, the festivals Ici et Demain, Au feminine, Paris Hip-Hop, Les Plans d’Avril and occasionally DIY Boogie, the Free Day and the Coups de pousses and néo Novo club nights.
