Les trois baudets (the three donkeys) is a cabaret personifying the memory of French songs, the tradition of “Chanson Française” you may have heard of. The concert hall has been refurbished and gets back to its roots – a promoting place for French-speaking singers. In the Fifties and the Sixties, the visionary man known as Jacques Canetti would act as a talent spotter and organize the first concerts of Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens, Boris Vian, Serge Gainsbourg, Juliette Gréco and many others… Today the place remains faithful to its past, and is dedicated to the discovery and promotion of new talents. With its wonderful selection, its two bars and a restaurant, it should be very soon the place to be. You’ll be able to enjoy a drink listening to a singer, spot new talents or meet some tops of the bill. Kids are welcome, too, with three concerts a week, and a family brunch on Sundays.
