Professional ballet dancers come to have their slippers custom-made, and you can watch them dance as they test their shoes. On the other side, the fashion victims scour the displays in search of their favourite pair, all inspired from real ballet slippers.

Rose Repetto could never have imagined that the ballet shoes she designed for her son in 1947, famous dancer and choreographer Roland Petit, would be such a success. However, the magic was contagious. Brigitte Bardot immortalised the Cinderella ballet slippers in her film, And God Created Woman. Then the inimitable Serge Gainsbourg became the honorary ambassador of the company, with a pair of Zizi's that her never took off. Zizi's are also the shoe of choice for French singer M.

Today, Repetto ballet slippers are recognised all over the world.
