Fragonard is one the most well-known independent French perfumeries, created in 1926 by Eugène Fuchs. The workshops are in Grasse, a Riviera city leading the perfume industry. But you won’t have to travel this far to discover some of the mysteries of the delicate fragrances which have built its reputation: this museum, combined with a shop, gives you a good insight of the different steps needed. The visit is free of charge, and is a good opportunity to enjoy at the same time viewing a beautiful town house of 1860, at the corner of the Opéra-Garnier. Last but not least, you’ll be able to choose your bottle of “Belle de Nuit” (Lady of the Night) or “Eau Fantasque” (Fantasy Water) at factory prices.
