It all started with a man : Emanuel, who used to play with the sewing machine of his parents from an early age, and then trained under Balenciaga’s supervision, opened his own couture house in 1965. He immediately encountered a great success, and opened a workshop and a shop still at the same address nowadays.
His style, defined by magnificent prints, cheerful colours and rich drapes, is worldwide famous, as are his perfumes launched in the Nineties.
Emanuel Ungaro retired In 2004. The house is now under control of Esteban Cortazar, born in the US from a Colombian family. The store, on the famous Montaigne Avenue, invites you to discover the lavish universe of one of the best Parisian couture house.
