Between the French Stadium and the Basilica, the Saint-Denis Market is a vibrant, cosmopolitan place. Fruits, spices and pastries await.
Located a few moments outside of Paris, the Saint-Denis Market (le marché de St-Denis) is one of the largest in the greater Paris. Three times a week, the stalls blossom inside the halls and the market place is alive with colour.
The market halls, renovated in 2006, welcome vendors of all kinds. The Caribbean cooks work side by side with the spice sellers from Morocco, while the local farmer sits next to the dressmaker from India. The Sunday market is by far the liveliest, when the whole family takes a trip to the market together.
Take the time to browse the aisles while enjoying the myriad of foreign tongues around you and most are willing to let you taste the products before you buy.
