The Halle Saint-Pierre

This cultural centre in Montmartre contains naïve art treasures, a joy to any enthusiast of paintings and sculptures falling outside academic norms.

At the foot of the Sacré-Coeur Basilic, in the middle of Montmartre’s textile market, a former Baltard-style covered market can be found. Difficult to imagine that this is a cultural centre dedicated to the most unexpected forms of creativity (raw art, naïve art, marginal art, outsider art, contemporary popular art).

Museum, gallery, bookshop, auditorium and café all at once, this space will surprise you with its luminous setting and friendly atmosphere. And above all, by the originality of its temporary exhibitions which highlight the work of exceptional French and international artists.

From spirit art to images of the unconscious, the Halle Saint-Pierre never ceases to awaken the visitor’s curiosity.

You can also take advantage of the impressive collection of publisher and collector Max Fourny, much of which is permanently on show here. A priceless testimony to naïve art from the 1970s, made up of over 600 works of art, most of which are signed paintings by around 500 artists.
