Champ-de-Mars

Between the Eiffel tower and Ecole Militaire, the Champ-de-Mars Park rolls out the red carpet and offers you an agreeable promenade.

In the foreground, the great lawns bordered by flower-beds and perpendicular aisles shaded by the trees. In the background, the fascinating perspective offered from the Champ-de-mars. This typical French garden, apparently simple, merits your curiosity.

Veer towards the sides, along the sinuous pathways leading to peaceful havens. Along the paths, at all times of the day, the park offers an incessant ballet of people: from the rushing work crowds to the groups of tourists. The students come afterwards for a picnic lunch, followed by the families on holiday. The park transforms into a paradise for children: playground, puppet theatre, pony rides, basketball courts and a carousel make the Champ-de-Mars a brilliant way to spend a day.
