Lush vegetation, a lake and a good dose of swing: just fifteen minutes from the Gare du Nord, the Enghien Jazz Festival’s formula still attracts the fans.

During the day young vocal groups lull inveterate idlers in the rural amphitheatre near the lake. Throughout the town, jazz bands bring a party atmosphere to the town’s streets and to the terraces of its main square, forty concerts giving rhythm to the afternoon. When evening comes, it’s time for the stars!

Last year, trumpeter Roy Hargrove was a sensation alongside French rapper MC Solaar but also Chick Corea, the 1970s jazz piano revolutionary and violinist Didier Lockwood and his Jazz Angels. And famous funk saxophonist, Maceo Parker, gave a (free) show afloat on the lake to an audience of 17,000, followed by a huge firework display, the traditional finale to this festive week.
