Paris installs its ephemeral skating rinks from December to March, and the visitors can dedicate themselves to the pleasures of sliding.
This event is over. To find another one in Paris Île-de-France, see the datebook. From 16 December 2011 To 04 March 2012
The festival takes place in several places
As it does every year for the end of the year holidays, Paris dresses its most beautiful clothes of snow. Who says snow, also says skating rink, and if the City of Light does not have large frozen lakes, it nevertheless has outdoor skating rinks which are installed in the street, from December to March.
The square of the Paris City Hall, the Eiffel Tower and the Charlety stadium offer to the public, young or old, initiated or amateurs of ice-skating and hockey, the possibility of sliding on the artificial and ephemeral ices of the capital. If the skating rink in the square of the City Hall is free of charge, the rental skates must be paid. To sliding on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower can be done with the rental skates… but the access to the Iron Lady has to be paid.
Events are also scheduled to completely impress the visitors. In the schedule: demonstration of ice-skating, ice-dancing, curling or hockey. Finally, the Charlety stadium is transformed into a true winter sports resort. For a whole week, children will be able to have fun on the synthetic skating rink installed here, but also enjoy many other activities: Tyrolean and sledges are also in the schedule of “Charlety on snow”. And it is free of charge.
