Cinémathèque française
A hidden treasure finally revealed to the public! The Cinémathèque Française and the Museo Nazionale del Cinema in Turin have organized this exceptional retrospective of their finest slide projectors and lenses. Take a poetic stroll peopled by images most of which have not seen the light for 300 years. Visitors young and old are invited on a dream-like, scientific and entertaining journey into the world of light projection.
Equipment and lenses are displayed to reveal the first means of projection and recreate the magic of the show. You will meet shadowy and terrifying characters (monsters, vampires, pot-bellied demons, etc.), gaze in wonder at poetical and soothing views rivalling in miniature English and Flemish landscapes, and pass through the whole range of cinematographic emotion!
