An extraordinary exhibition on the diversity and meaning of the headdresses worn in distant lands since the dawn of time.
From 12 June To 26 September 2010
La maison rouge
Antoine de Galbert’s amazing collection of ethnographic headdresses has never been on public display.
For over fifteen years, this great art fan has gathered together more than 400 headdresses, hats and costumes from non-Western peoples and ethnic groups.
As an object of ritual, social, aesthetic or practical use, the headdress has adorned mankind from the very beginning.
In this novel exhibition, la Maison Rouge invites you on a journey through forms, colours and materials. Really something!
