Held in the decorative arts hall, this exceptional exhibition provides an opportunity to discover nearly 300 pieces of jewellery and gold and silverware from the 1930s. A selection of unique pieces which stand out for their modern design (inspired by the Cubist and Futurist pictorial movements, among others) and their innovative materials (white gold, nickel-plated or chrome-plated metal, stainless steel, etc.).
The exhibition opens with objects, jewellery, pieces of gold and silverware, drawings and documents from the archives of French jeweller Jean Després. Over the course of the visit, you can also admire the famous "giraffe" necklaces and cuff bracelets worn by the singer Josephine Baker, created by the metalworker and designer Jean Dunand, as well as work by the "architect of jewellery"Raymond Templier and timeless pieces by Jeanne Boivin…
