Musée national de céramique
"Résonances contemporaines: 25 céramistes japonaises" was an international exhibition held in Japan last year which will soon be visiting the United States, in California and Hawaii. For its only European leg, it will be on show at the Musée National de Céramique, from 13th March to 15th June.
This exhibition presents the work of 25 Japanese ceramicists and highlights the growing place of female artists in the pottery studio. Through their work, these artists translate the trends in a rapidly-changing Japanese society which is breaking free of rules and taboos. Among the works on show, you can notably find Yuriko Matsuda’s bold installation "Hips parade" and "Running woman" by Asuka Tsuboi.
