Galerie des Gobelins
Since they were founded by Louis XIV, the Manufactures des Gobelins, Beauvais, la Savonnerie and the Mobilier national have continued to decorate the seats of power.
Tapestries, weaving and textile creations - discover the decors and installations created by contemporary artists from the national factories here in the space of the Galerie des Gobelins and the Galerie nationale de la tapisserie de Beauvais.
A Louis XV armchair restored with gold and silver leaf, or the recovering of a chaise longue ... these young talents are respectfully continuing the long tradition of prestige and offer a modern look at antique furniture.
Martine Aballéa, Tania Mouraud, Marc Couturier, Shirley Jaffe, Claude Lévêque, Pascal Pinaud, Anne and Patrick Poirier, Claude Rutault, Sarkis, Patrick Tosani, Jacques Vieille etc. underline, through their work, the key place which the Mobilier National and the national factories hold in terms of heritage and creation.
