The vast Musée national de la Marine houses this exceptional exhibition of around 1,000m2, depicting the history of lighthouses in France since the 19th century.

As exciting assurprising, this journey combines life size exhibits, models, paintings, photographs and carefully selected film clips.

Discover the technical skills of the first lighthouse builders, who facedreal challenges in terms of architectural construction. Put yourself in the shoes of a lighthouse keeper, and see the changes in their living conditions since the beginning of their profession. Immerse yourself in the many myths associated with lighthouses and their marine environment...
