Cité de la musique
Serge Gainsbourg is a timeless and iconoclastic artist who knew how to use images and sounds to their higher point, and invented new forms of compositions by cut and paste and a play on words and references.
This exhibition is commissioned by the French sound designer Frédéric Sanchez as a journey through one hundred interactive panels displaying films or video sets, as well as pictures, artefacts and art works from Serge and his family.
It’s an exhibition to be seen, but as well to be heard. A unique audio montage of the own texts of the artist read by his closest friends is broadcasted, too.
