Le lieu du design
Le Lieu du design will dedicate more than four months to this exhibition. It will be presented from February 15th to June 23rd to the general public but also to policy makers and building contractors. The project, initiated a year ago, highlights the designers’ vision of public space in the future, through the notions of comfort, usage, sharing, accessibility, social cohesion, cultural identity and sustainability.
Yo Kaminagai, the curator of the exhibition, has brought together the work of many designers from France and abroad including: JR East and his sound design for the Tokyo network, Ruedi Baur and his visual urban identity projects, Escofet or JC Decaux and their creations, as well as Osmose and their proposed station for Grand Paris. Many innovative,aesthetic and functionalinstallations aiming at questioning the decision makers regarding the urban strategies of the future.
Futuristic architecture
