Recapture the warm and festive atmosphere of 1920s Paris

Founded by jazz violinist Didier Lockwood and producer Serge Malik, the Jazz-Musette des Puces Festival aims to revive the tradition which provided the soundtrack for bars and flea markets for nearly a century. A period of celebration, sharing and cultural intermingling when gypsies, accordionists and singers took to the streets and the markets were alive with music.
The musical scope of this event is more than simply the gypsy style: it revisits accordion swing, gypsy jazz and the general cheeky banter of the streets.
Now in its fifth year, the Jazz-Musette des Puces Festival welcomes leading names and young talents and includes a major concert in Cap Saint-Ouen – a former dock transformed into a stage – and a tour of the bars of a variety of flea markets. The programme includes: Guy Marchand and the Charlier/Sourisse quartet (Crooner & Swing), Richard Galliano & Stochelo Rosenberg (a pair of Titans), Caravan Palace (electro gypsy sextet), Romane, Angelo Debarre, Boulou & Elios Ferré (gypsy quartet), Zaza Fournier and her friend I-Pod (cheeky 21st century banter)… and many more!
In order to retain all the event’s spontaneity, a detailed programme is not revealed to the public.
