The Paris Jazz Festival is returning, as it does each year, to Paris’s Parc Floral every Saturday and Sunday in June and July. Sitting comfortably on the grass, enjoy a fantastic series of open-air concerts.

This 16th festival invites you to explore jazz based on concepts of Territory and Tonality (ideas common to nature and music) with French and European composers.

Every weekend, prepare to discover a new Territory in the light of a different musical Tonality, in keeping with the magical setting of the Parc Floral: Belgium, Italy, Vienna and the lands influenced by gypsy culture have been selected for 2009.

During the fifth Vienna/Paris weekend (4th and 5th July), tribute will be paid to the work of the Vienna Art Orchestra, one of the biggest jazz orchestras in Europe and its founder, Mathias Rüegg.

Real centres of discovery and creativity, the two natural theatres of the Clairière des Impros and the Jardinophone will also be offering alternative events from 9am to 6pm.
