Open Air Cinema in La Villette

Every evening during the summer, major films can be seen for free on the giant screen in the La Villette Park.

From 17 Juily To 22 August 2010
Parc de la Villette

You’re not twenty every day! For its twentieth year, the Open air Cinema in La Villette honours life’s greatest age. As before, during the summer evenings, on the park’s lawn, sitting in a deckchair or lying on a blanket, you can see on a giant screen for the first or second time the best films from around the world.

This year’s programme will take place between 17th July and 22nd August, and to portray the hopes, loves, rebellions and defiance of youth, visions from all around the world have been invited: Europe with Truffaut, Pialat, Godard, Carax and Mungiu amongst others; Asia with Liu Jie and Hong Sang-Soo.

As it wouldn’t be a party without the Americans, Woody Allen, Sofia Coppola and Stephen Frears have also been invited. As always, the screenings are free, and as the park’s lawn is huge, there’s room for everyone.

Open Air Cinema in La Villette 2010 film program:
l'Équipée sauvage, l'Auberge espagnole, Orange mécanique, la Cité de Dieu, Juno, Persepolis, Virgin Suicides, Simple Men, Grease
