No question of getting languorous during the summer thanks to this festival. For the past twenty years, Paris Quartier d’Eté has not ceased to surprise with its daring programme and its extremely reasonable prices.

And many of the both original and varied shows and concerts you can see from 14th July to 15th August are free, such as Compagnie Pernette’s contemporary street dance, performing in some of the towns and quarters of Paris Ile-de-France, and the underground tango by Argentinean mavericks 34 Puñaladas which you can discover in the parks and gardens of several areas of the capital.

While the events you have to pay for are never more than 22 euros: whether for the flamenco evenings in the Palais Royal, jazz recitals in the intimate setting of the Arènes de Montmartre or the stupefying acrobatic troupe Propaganda. Sufi chants, Zingaro’s equestrian theatre, performance-installations by a collective of Iranian figurative artists, progressive klezmer, ornithological dance, Malian griot songs, Portuguese-style dances...you still have many surprises in store.
