The festival takes place in several places
Under the artistic direction of Olivier Meyer, Suresnes Cités Danse celebrates its 20 years. Hosted by the Jean-Vilar theatre since its beginnings, this festival revealed many talents originating in the city and often represents the first experience on a theatre scene for young hip-hop dancers and choreographers.
This year in figures: more than 30 performances, 10 creations, 22 choreographers and 104 dancers, including 2 internationally recognized ones: Robyn Orlin and Angelin Preljocaj.
The opening evening will be held in two locations: Sylvain Groud and Jose Montalvo will bring to light some of the emblematic figures of the festival: Doug Elkins, Kader Attou and Mourad Merzouki. They will be followed by creations of Monica Casadei, Pierre Rigal, Sandra Sainte Rose, Simhamed Benhalima, Mehdi Ouachek, among others. Finally, the closing evening will present the companies Wanted Posse and Pockemon Crew.
