When we think of "cosy evenings" and "musical cocoon", one type of music suddenly floats to our mind: jazz! Numerous sensual clubs will welcome you in Paris, so that you can enjoy a glass while listening to jazzy trumpets and pianos. At fifty metres from Saint Martha Square, the Osmoz Café cultivates its intimate, cosy and attractive style. People come here to listen to music, dine or savour a cocktail at the bar. The same goes for Triton, café-concert of Lilas. Very classic, the Caveau de la Huchette opens its tiny cellar to the enthusiasts who love to listen to yesterday’s artists and to those of today in this establishment of Saint-Michel district filled with history.
While also traditional, three jazz clubs remain mythical: Sunset-Sunside in Châtelet, which disposes of two rooms welcoming all styles of jazz, Baiser salé, which has managed to preserve a spirit for discovering by regularly playing new talents and, right on the corner, on the Lombards Street, Duc des Lombards, which welcomes the greatest names of this music. In such a soft ambience, surrounded by silky red wall-hangings, you can find yourself in the most Chinese-like jazzy bar-club of Paris, close to Bastille: China. During the show, relax yourselves in front of a fire while sitting in large rattan armchairs and comfortable leather sofas. In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, do not hesitate to enter the large gates of Lutetia hotel. Down the hallway, join one of the tables and sit yourselves at the comfortable red sofas of its bar which transforms itself, as of 10 o’clock in the evening, in a jazz concert hall.
And now, let us proceed! Equally secretive and cosy, Flûte l’Étoile, very close to Champs-Élysées, will indulge you with extravagant champagne while you listen to a modern playlist run by a New York DJ. Intimate atmosphere at the ground floor and the lounge, so that you can spend time among friends, at the mezzanine of the first floor. With a very unusual decoration inspired by the Italian Renaissance, Réservoir, situated in the 11th district, is both a concert hall and a restaurant-bar. An all-in-one cosy establishment inviting all types of music in a comfortable and relaxing ambience. Equally original, Étage, around the République, was established in a former cinema. The bar, with its concerts oriented towards jazz, afro, latino and soul music, welcomes you all night long with lounge chairs and small tables, but also with a two-meter exotic wood counter.
