Feathers, rhinestones, sequins, stunning scenes, original music, gorgeous choreography and equally magnificent girls, the Parisian cabarets are known and acknowledged in the entire world for the quality of their shows. Always magical and dreamlike, the evenings spent here will forever remain anchored in our memory. The most famous of all remains Moulin-Rouge. At Pigalle, this institution appears not to have aged one bit since its inception in 1889. The Moulin always offers magnificent themed colourful paintings interpreted by a team of one hundred artists, among which the sixty Doriss Girls recruited around the world.
Side by side, near the most beautiful avenue in the world, the Lido and the Crazy Horse offer more nudity, but also modernity in their shows. All the Parisian cabarets are fascinating for the attractions they offer, but also for the splendour of their scene. The halls in which we witness the shows, while drinking champagne or eating, are all more scintillating than the others and the menus are often delicious. One of these charming theatres is called Paradis Latin. Established two years before the Moulin-Rouge on the other side of the Seine, a short walk from the Île Saint-Louis, this respectable ancestor tells the story of its city in twirling ballet shows: love stories of past years, the exhilaration of post-war cellars of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, passions freed in the 1970`s…
Close to Grands Boulevards, Nouvelle Ève stands out for its decor filled with kitsch, with stucco cherubs, dragons on the ceiling, Corinthian-style pediments and a large predominance of candy-pink. Just like its neighbour the Belle Époque, the show is traditional, with gorgeous scantily clad dancers, with French cancan and several circus acts. At Montmartre, the invincible and very blue Michou holds mastery in its friendly cabaret based on the shows performed by highly-talented artists. At Montparnasse, one can decide between feverish and modern. Bobin is specialised in bold and humorous choreographies, while Brasil Tropical offers an explosion of exotism with its Brasilian troupe that sings, dances, plays and stunts in the purest tradition of the Rio Carnival.
