Victoria Abril, Parisian by adoption, tells all about her city.
Which are your “quartiers” of predilection?Wherever my feet take me. I don't have any particular favourite quarter! But for the last ten years, wherever I am, I use a bicycle to get around. It is a great way to see the city.
And do you have some favourite escapades around Paris? If yes, which and why?
There are so many things to do in Paris and its surroundings and I think that we have just about done everything with the kids! Versailles, of course, the Neuneu festival, Disneyland Paris... But now they are 16 and 18 years old, so they go out without their mother.
Which quarter would you recommend to a friend coming to spend a few days?
Without hesitation, the Eiffel Tower and the Champ-de-Mars! You can bump into lots of interesting people. It is the social encounters that are important. It is people that take us somewhere. Openness towards others is essential, and if you are deaf or blind to communication, you won't get any further than the stereotypes. I don't like to walk alone, because of my popularity, it's easy, people approach me often, but I would tell all my friends to go and talk with all those people.

Which part of the day or season do you prefer?Spring, when it is as beautiful as it was last year. Autumn, when we are lucky enough to have an Indian summer.
Your latest discovery?
Yesterday, I discovered the Kube hotel, it is extremely cold in there. I realize that it part of the concept, but all the same! I was doing an interview for a web-tv and they took me there.
