Discover a Net-city : Issy-les-Moulineaux

From La Défense, you can take Tram 2 : this tramway will drive you to Issy-les-Moulineaux in twenty minutes with a ticket costing 2 euros. The scenery is worth the trip: you'll discover the Southern-Western outskirts of Paris: the Seine's riverside is lined with luxury houseboats and former allotments turned into beautiful gardens, and the Eiffel Tower dominates the skyline. Don't miss this unique landscape!

You can choose to make a stop at the National Gardens of Saint-Cloud (Domaine national de Saint-Cloud): it used to be the beloved park of Queen Marie-Antoinette. Now, centenary carps, Trocadéro gardens (not to be confused with the ones in front of the Eiffel Tower) and even an old-style aviary remind you of this glorious past. Every year, a part of the Gardens welcomes the infamous Rock En Seine Festival.

When you reach Moulineaux tram station, get off and walk up Cours Saint-Vincent. Issy-les-Moulineaux is a true Net-city, which has alwaysbeen a pioneer in terms of interactivity. With no surprise, it housesthe Cube, a Multimedia Arts Centre, which opened seven years ago in adistinctive colour-glassed building. There, you'll be able to discoverthe most recent Multimedia creations, browse the Web, and ask about thelatest add-ons of Web 2.0. Numerous workshops are on offer, especiallyfor kids, and it also welcomes important events like the Némo Festival, dedicated to video experiments and new images.

Issy also offersmore traditional pleasures. On Quai Stalingrad, you'll find the RiverCafé, a former barge turned into a restaurant. From the outside itlooks like a greenery haven, but inside it's a beautiful river-themeddining room. Its contemporary French cooking is very successful.
