Musée des Arts Décoratifs

The Golden Triangle of Vendôme Square

On the same day, or on the day after, come back to rue de Rivoli. At n°107 rue de Rivoli, you'll find Les Arts Décoratifs . The place gathers the Arts and Crafts Museum (Musée des arts décoratifs), a Fashion and Textile Museum (Musée de la mode et du textile), and the Advertisement Museum (Musée de la publicité). The temporary exhibitions are must-sees. Check the bookshop, called "Le 107", specialized in decorative arts. There is also a well-tucked away restaurant, Le Saut du Loup, with a fantastic terrace overlooking the Tuileries Gardens.

Your visit of the current Fashion exhibition will surely make you want to discover the district of rue Saint-Honoré, which is very good for a shopping spree. Take rue des Pyramides and have a look at the statue of Joan of Arc - yes, Britons burnt her. A few steps away you'll find the infamous Colette concept-store: enjoy a dip in ultra hype and flawless trends, and ignore the despising welcome you may be offered.

Then go to place du Marché Saint-Honoré. At n°5 of the eponymous street, check the consignment shop named WK Accessoires: it offers very good deals on second-hand luxury clothes or accessories. The market itself is a mall, surrounded by numerous cafés and terraces. You can try L'Absinthe (at n°24), which has received very positive reviews.

From the square, you'll be able to reach Place Vendôme, through rueSaint-Honoré and rue Danielle Casanova. The Vendôme square is one ofthe epicentres of Parisian luxury, boasting the cream of goldsmiths'flagship stores: Fred, Poiray, Mauboussin... The window displays shinefrom dozens of diamonds. At n°15, the Ritz welcomes the very rich andfamous coming and going in limos. It offers two beautiful bars: the Hemingway, and the Vendôme. Though expensive, they're a true delight.

Walkdown to Concorde, hanging around in the poshest streets of the city.Rue du Mont-Thabor and rue Cambon are a must-see: you'll find theMaria-Luisa emporium (at n°2 rue Cambon, 19 bis, 38 et 40 rue duMont-Thabor), one of the best kept secret of Parisian style. At n°31rue Cambon, pay homage to Mademoiselle Coco Chanel. The original shopoffers three levels of legendary products, from knitwear to padded bags.

Ifit's time for a dinner, enjoy Le First boudoir (at n°234 rue deRivoli), followed by a night out. L'Alternative (at n°5, rue Molière)and the Cab (place du Palais-Royal) welcome the young (for the first),rich (for the second), and beautiful (in all cases).
