A shopping spree in Saint-Sulpice

Saint-Sulpice is dominated by an impressive church. But you might feel more interested in Yves Saint-Laurent, J. C. de Castelbajac, Christian Lacroix or Annick Goutal perfumes! In the close vicinity, people are queuing hard in front of Pierre Hermé to buy one of his famous pastries. The Café de la Mairie may seem low-key: it's in fact one of the best-kept secrets of the square, attracting big publishers and their writers.

At the Left side of the church, take rue Saint-Sulpice and discover homeware shops such as Maison de Famille or the well-known Muji, and the flagship store of the very Parisian designer Vanessa Bruno. A few steps away, you'll reach the mall of Marché Saint-Germain. On rue Guisarde, the very exclusive shop called Les 3 marches de Catherine B only sells top-notch Hermès and Chanel vintage. The vicinity is good for a shopping spree: try rue du Four and rue Mabillon for their nice fashion shops.

On rue du Vieux-Colombier (at the other side of Saint-Sulpice square), shops are posh and selective: check Victoire, Longchamp, or the very exciting Sentou gallery dedicated to design. The confidential and arty A.P.C store is only a walk away, on rue Madame (there's also a factory sale on rue de Fleurus).
