It's all a question of your point of view? Come and meditate this question at the Maison européenne de la photographie (European House of Photography) located at N° 5 rue de Fourcy.  This hybrid space mixes contemporary architecture with a 18th-century mansion for a voyage to the heart of contemporary photography. Young and upcoming artists rub shoulders with the great names in photography (Depardon, Warhol) in the numerous temporary exhibitions. 

A few feet away, (N° 11 & 13 of the rue François Miron) the Tudor houses of the old Paris sit in contrast to the contemporary feel of the Sentou boutique, bathed in light and design.

You are now just a few metres away from the Hôtel de Ville de Paris(City Hall). To arrive, take the place Saint-Gervais to the rue Lobau.City Hall is the large building in the centre of the square. Admire the Renaissance facade from the esplanade in the front.

Behind the BHV department store on the ruede Rivoli, you will find the BVH Homme (BHV Man) at N° 36 rue de laVerrerie. Everything you could ever need or want can probably be foundin these two shops, BHV and BHV Homme.
