Galerie Yvon Lambert

The aim of this Marais-based gallery owner is to represent and support the most innovative works of our period.

Considered to be one of the most famous Parisian galleries, Yvon Lambert's centre displays work by great artists such as Nan Goldin, Carl André, Sol Lewitt, Miquel Barcelo, On Kawara, Douglas Gordon, etc.

Yvon Lambert has always been passionate about contemporary art and opened his first gallery in 1966, when he was 20 years old. At that time he wanted to promote the American artists developing conceptual and minimal art, such as Richard Long and Brice Marden.

In 1983, the gallery owner decided to move to a completely new site in the Marais. Tucked away at the end of a courtyard, beneath an immense glass roof, his new gallery's main commitment was to represent and promote the most innovative modern art, while focussing on photography and video.
