An immense building of iron and glass stands at the entrance to the Villette Park...A cultural space with a surprising program.
The former home of the Parisian meat market, in pure Baltard style, sits in the heart of the Villette Park. Recently renovated and classified as a national monument, the Great Hall has become an important cultural centre.
Families, children, local residents...all gather before the great hall to take part in the events and festivities. Temporary exhibitions, concerts and plays are always on the agenda. Keep an eye on the calendar for the latest noteworthy festivals like the « Rencontres des cultures urbaines », where urban cultures collide. Fans go wild for the concerts of Devo or Salif Keita, offering a window to the musical world...
Between the exhibition and the concert, the regulars find their way to the café-restaurant, or even outside in front of the bookshop, for a drink and a chat.
