Musée Daubigny d’Auvers-sur-Oise

Discover one of the precursors of Impressionism, Charles-Francois Daubigny, and admire his work, as well as the work of his artist friends.

The first artist to move to Auvers-sur-Oise, Charles-Francois Daubigny was soon joined by a plethora of artists at the behest of Vincent Van Gogh.

Housed in a manor, the Daubigny Museum pays tribute to the work of this landscape painter and that of his son, Karl. Discover the paintings, water-colours, drawings and engravings of his friends: Jean-François Millet or Henri-Joseph Harpignies. Not to mention the entire 'cat' collection and a room dedicated to 'naive art', with a painting by the customs officer Rousseau, during his visit to Auvers.

The Daubigny Museum also has a collection of contemporary art, thanks to the generous donations of the artists. Admire in particular the works of Pierre Alechinsky or Fabrice Rebeyrolle.
