In a relaxed atmosphere, one room after another, the Guimet Museum exposes its exceptional collection of Asian art.
Large rooms bathed in natural light, dizzying perspectives of grandeur: le Musée Guimet has been completely renovated to highlight their magnificent collections.
By exhibiting art from the extreme orient, it has become one of the most important Asian art museums in the world.
Civilisations and religions are presented in sublime representations through a collection of sculptures, paintings and fabrics that will take you from Japan and Pakistan in 2000 B.C. to the 19th-century. Throughout the rooms, Buddha's, lacquers and gold revealed their riches in a pleasant atmosphere accentuated by the natural light.
Keep an eye on the calendar, the museum regularly organises screenings, poetry readings, plays and even concerts.
