Exhibitions, cafés and shopping in an atmosphere of "convivial squatters". This art centre is actually a favourite meeting place for Parisians.
Bare concrete walls, a caravan disguised as a ticket booth. A ‘worksite’ kind of ambiance tapered by the red lighting of the Japanese lanterns. All of Paris finds itself at the Tokyo Palace – right next to Trocadero – to see a contemporary art exhibition, have a cocktail, visit the fabulous bookshop or to keep up with the latest trends in art and design. An experimental and innovative place that surveys the art of our time.
Open from noon to midnight, the Tokyo Palace offers exhibitions, events, meetings, videos and music… these can be extremely conceptual silent auctions to explosive electric evenings or even a temporary ‘hotel on the roof’ as in the Everland project. A cross-disciplinary approach allows access to all, big and small.
The ‘Tok Tok’ (Knock, Knock) workshops let children discover contemporary art in a very playful way.
