For 10 years Dina Vierny was Aristide Maillol’s model. On the artist’s death, she decided to create her own foundation to present Maillol’s work to the public. The museum is therefore the muse’s life’s work. An important collection of sculptures, drawings, paintings and tapestries is on display.
Also a model for numerous friends of Maillol (including Matisse), Dina Vierny owns masterpieces by the greatest geniuses of the 20th century. Bonnard, Duffy, Kandinsky and Duchamp are also part of the foundation’s permanent exhibition.
