The Paris-Beijing Gallery

Make a standing jump into the Middle Kingdom by discovering its lush art of contemporary photography in a gallery also located in China.

All started with a beautiful love story. Flora and Romain Degoul make up a young couple in their thirties passionate about oriental languages, on the one hand, and photojournalism, on the other. In order to reunite their interests, in 2006 they decided to create the Paris Beijing Photo Gallery at the very heart of the Dashanzi art district in Beijing.

Exhibiting Chinese and Western photographic works, discovering new talents, publishing books and exhibition catalogues, they become experts in the field. Strengthened by their success in the Land of the Blue Lotus, they open a similar space in the centre of Paris two years later.

International contemporary photography is then brought to light with a little preference for young Chinese creators, who work just as well with traditional tools as they do with the digital ones. So, here you can find works of Martin Parr, Marc Riboud, Erwin Olaf but also of Gao Brothers, Yang Yongliang or Li Wei.
