Deco by Philippe Starck + cuisine by Alain Senderens + cosmopolitan atmosphere = the Mama Shelter!
Since it opened in 2008, Le Mama Shelter has rightly earned its success. With deco by Philippe Starck and cuisine by Alain Senderens – who also created the menu, the Mama Shelter certainly has a lot to offer. Set in a popular, no-frills district of Paris, this little haven of trendiness and good taste has become a must among people from all walks. You are just as likely to rub shoulders with American poets as you are with Japanese painters or Latin American writers… People not only love this restaurant's deco, but also its laid back approach.
With its cocktail bar and fantastic menu (how about caramelised chicken with coriander, or duck confit parmentier…?), there's something here for everyone, especially those with an acquired taste. And the moelleux au carambar cake has definitely made a name for itself! Other winning aspects include a fantastic wine list, delicious pizzas and Sunday brunch.
And if you feel like a dance, Le Mama Shelter is also known for its DJ sets and live performances.
This is without a doubt how it should be done!
