These Impressionists of the circus ring provide a show full of poetry about painters’ imagination…
With its new show, Atelier du Peintre, the Cirque Plume explores artistic creativity taking you on a journey into the imagination of painters through great works by artists from De Vélasquez to Ingres, including Soulages, Klein and Picasso, creating amazing scenes right before our eyes!
On stage, performers from the Cirque Plume take us behind the canvas… A common aspect of the work of painters and circus artists is that their work is both well-rehearsed and spontaneous. Here they come together, allowing us to share in the intimate and constantly renewed act, created in the mists of time and forever mysterious – painting… They enter the painter’s studio, take over his tools, appropriate his gestures and incorporate them into their art. Between juggling, acrobatics, trampoline, hand-to-hand acts, dance, aerial straps, the German wheel and clowning, these acts flow poetically and lightly to the backdrop of an original score by maestro Robert Miny.
