Its art deco facade is unmistakable and its name alone symbolises the music hall revue, invented in this theatre in 1886.
One of the legendary temples of Paris shows, it can be found nestled close to a little crossroads near the Grands Boulevards. Here, in 1886, Edouard Marchand invented a new genre: the music hall revue. The very best artists have performed on this prestigious stage: Belle Otero, Colette, Mistinguett, Joséphine Baker, Charles Trenet, Jean Gabin and even Charlie Chaplin, Stan Laurel and W.C Fields during a memorable evening in 1911!
Two centuries later, the tradition of the revue continues but the theatre now also programmes musicals, one-man comedy acts and major French and international stars of popular music.
