Le New Morning

A stone’s throw from the Grands Boulevards, the New Morning is a venue unique in its field which has opened its door to all types of music without a break since 1981.

Although the style and comfort of the red and black venue may appear minimalist, it is valued above all for the intimacy created between the public and the musicians, many of whom love playing here. Whether leaning against the bar, sitting on the banquettes or installed round a bistro table, the most important thing is what is happening on stage.

Since the thunderous opening by Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, great legends and rising stars of jazz have followed – as well as of salsa, African music and blues. Pharoah Sanders, Roy Hargrove and Carla Bley often return ‒ an endorsement you can rely on.
