Bercy, a dynamic area, offers you a nature walk through an original park bordered by modern buildings.
Along the Seine, the Bercy Park reserves a lovely walk, between the Palais Omnisports, Bercy Village and Bibliothèque Nationale de France.
Constructed in the former wine warehouses that irrigated Paris until 1920, the Park has left the rails, the wine cellars and the watchman's home.
If you enter on the metro side at Bercy, you will arrive in the first garden, called « les prairies ». Walk along the lawns so that you don't miss the surprising sculptural fountain, « Canyonaustrate » by Gerard Singer. Continue on to have a look at the « parterres »: a botanical garden looked after by the children! Finally, the « romantic garden » (jardin romantique), where you will see the amazing sculpture « Demeure X », before arriving at the la Maison du Lac (The Lake House), that regularly organises exhibitions on gardens and nature, like the Orangerie and the Bercy Chai.
