The famous fashion designer opens the ball exhibitions presented in the newly renovated Galliera Palace. A great event!

From Saturday 28 September 2013 to Sunday 26 January 2014

Musée Galliera, musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris

After three years of renovation works, the City of Paris Fashion Museum – which does not exhibit permanent collections – welcomes the public again for major temporary exhibitions.

The place, inspired by the Renaissance, was completed at the end of the 19th century by the architect Léon Ginain for the Duchess of Galliera who wishes to present her artwork collection. The whole collection was eventually bequeathed to the City of Paris.

The great fashion designer Azzedine Alaïa will have the honor to inaugurate the new space for an extensive retrospective of his work. Nearly seventy models, some of which are also presented in the Matisse hall of the Museum of Modern Art that is located not very far, highlight his brilliant career.

A rare opportunity to admire the works of the trained sculptor, who has always been indifferent to trends and fashions.
