Exhibitions - Civilisation
More than thirty-five years ago, the punk energy was overwhelming Europe. A return on this major protest movement whose influence is still palpable.
Almost five hundred objects relate the story of the punk movement that spread through the United States, England and then throughout Europe in the mid-1970s.
Fanzines, clothing, music videos, album covers, drawings and posters allow us to comprehend the sometimes contradictory ideologies of this subversive and radical movement, to understand the particular context of its birth and to measure the long-term influence in all areas of creation, from fashion to cinema.
The visit gives pride to Sex Pistols, a musical band flagship of the punk movement, and to the group of French artists Bazooka, which gathers notably Kiki and Loulou Picasso, Bernard Vidal and Olivia Clavel.
A journey that ends with the immersion in "live" concerts, broadcast in a soundproofed listening booth. Thrills guaranteed!
