850th anniversary of Notre-Dame de Paris
For the 850th anniversary of the legendary Cathedral Notre-Dame de Paris, a true pilgrimage accompanied by large-scale events will take place.
From Sunday 18 November 2012 to Tuesday 10 December 2013

It is indeed an exceptional anniversary: the Cathedral Notre-Dame de Paris is about to celebrate its 850 years of history, art and spirituality. A unique opportunity to discover or rediscover the beauty and richness of this highly religious building, while welcoming pilgrims from all backgrounds.
On the programme of the festivities: various ceremonies, thanksgiving services and cultural events will be held throughout the year. Thanks to the funds raised for this event, visitors will be greeted in March 2013 by new bells in the towers of the cathedral and the newly restored Great Organ, while the forecourt has been specially redesigned for pilgrimage.
In addition, a musical season is scheduled along with a major scientific conference, exhibitions, spectacular performances, as well as the publication of several books.
