I am an American in Paris… I came to Paris one year as a study abroad student, yes…I know, SO typical!, and I decided to make it my home. Years later I am still in love with this city, although I do allow myself the right to complain about the annoying sides to Paris. I pay my city tax, so I take that perogative. ;-) Besides, I hope to spend my life here! Author of this blog, here you will find my musings, my ideas, Paris fashion, places I love, things I test, things I taste, travel tips, inspirations and more… all surrounding the obvious theme and my muse : Paris, France.

C'est vrai. I used to walk around the city and smile and think how lucky I was to live there. Now, I just pine for those days.

I'm a Paris transplant from Philadelphia who fell in love with a Frenchman and moved to Paris. Cliché, right? This blog is meant to cover some not-so-cliché topics and uncover some aspects of Paris (or France, for that matter) that you might not already know. Through food, travel, love and obstacles, I experience life in France.

In addition to freelance food and travel writing for (mostly) American publications, I’m the founding editor of Paris by Mouth, a collaborative food & wine website that launched in June 2010 with more than 1000 pages about eating and drinking in Paris.
Beyond that, I’ve written more than 600 reviews of restaurants, bars, hotels and shops as a contributor to Budget Travel, BlackBook, SAVEUR, Food & Wine, the BBC’s Olive magazine, the Wall Street Journal online, Frommer’s Paris, Gridskipper, Momondo, and the seat-pocket magazines of United, Virgin Trains, and Gulf Air. I’ve been featured in stories about Paris by CNN, Peter Greenberg’s Radio Show, Euranet Radio’s Europe Unzipped and Germany’s Stern and GEO Saison.
