Attention event! This first full retrospective on the work of the American artist in France presents numerous original works of art.
His over-vitaminised paintings included on comics have made the tour of the planet. The career of the American pop artist Roy Lichtenstein (1923-1997) is subject to a great lighting at Centre Pompidou.
From chronological point of view, this itinerary touches all the aspects of the work of the person that will find his true inspiration in advertising, comics and the American popular imagination. Throughout the entire one hundred paintings, sculptures and engravings, you can discover the extent of the events: expressionist works, reinterpretation of the Chinese landscape, still nature or abstract works allow a new perspective on the production of Roy Lichtenstein.
