The Mona Bismarck American Center pays tribute to the famous photographer Yousuf Karsh by exhibiting his finest portraits.
Photographer of 150,000 negatives, Yousuf Karsh has left an indelible mark in the world of photography. With 15,000 photocalls to his credit, the man has seen celebrities strutting before him: Ernest Hemingway, Grace Kelly, Christian Dior and John F. Kennedy.
The Mona Bismarck American Center for Art & Culture wanted to pay tribute to this exceptional photographer by exhibiting nearly sixty of his portraits of celebrities and official figures, actresses or politicians. In addition, visitors will be able discover the original photographs that were used for front covers of Life and Paris Match magazines. It is the story of these Icons of the 20th Century, related by the Karsh's objective. Striking photographs.
