Exhibitions - Painting
From October 18 to February 23, the Paris Museum of Modern Art will pay tribute to the painter Serge Poliakoff.
He is one of the major artists of the School of Paris. A brilliant abstract painter, Serge Poliakoff is now the focus of the Modern Art Museum, which is devoting a retrospective for him. The museum traces his major works accomplished between 1946 and 1969. There are nearly 150 works that are presented to the public.
Through an exhibition mounted according to a particular path, and organized into several sequences, visitors can discover the masterpieces of Poliakoff's works, his first avant-garde paintings just as his paintings characterized by refined lines.
In order to better understand the world of this Russian immigrant in Paris, photographs of that era, sound and visual archives, will plunge us into the life of this painter who knew how to attract the attention of the worlds of fashion, cinema and politics.
