This 13th-century abbey, re-converted into a contemporary art space, offers a surprising combination of heritage and creation.
Contemporary creation has given a second life to this ancient 13th-century abbey. Many of the temporary shows are punctuated with ultra-modern pieces that fit beautifully in the magnificently restored interior with vaulted ceilings and in the tree-lined park.
Digital installations by Erik Samakh, monumental sculptures by François Daireaux…each piece presented was imagined and created for the space. A profusion of colours, materials and themes that prove the Abbaye de Maubuisson to be a great source of inspiration.
As far as events go, the site offers theatrical presentations, films and dance.
End your visit with a bucolic stroll through the beautiful park and discover the archeological treasures alongside futuristic creations.
